I received an order yesterday from Australia for the 'The Blessings' Appliqué Fabric Pack - those 5"x 11" strips of 182 Jo Morton fabrics that I cut and put up in the shopping cart at the end of February. Two woman are going to share the pack which I thought was a great idea which helps defray the costs and they each have enough fabric to do all the appliqué pieces for 'The Blessings' quilt top. I thought I would share that idea with you. Both women are from Essendon which is Robyn Falloon's town and one has taken Robyn's needleturn appliqué classes. Funny how that works, isn't it! I am bringing Robyn's 'The Blessings' pattern from Australia to Canada and these women are buying my Jo Morton fabrics to have back in Australia to use in that same pattern. Interesting things happen with an internet business.
I thought I would share something else with you. Today, I purchased my first piece of furniture for my new home. I bought a chair. I don't know how practical it is as it looks so fragile and it is so light; however, it does seem strong enough when you sit on it. I thought it was so pretty and it does look lovely in my new studio. I found it at a new little shop that sells furniture on consignment. I paid $25! I think I scored.
This shop opened in December and I walked right by it the other day and didn't notice it. Today, I read its ad in a local paper and paid a visit - so many wonderful items from linens, to dishes, to furniture and all wonderfully displayed (and priced!). I will definitely be heading back.
