I mentioned to Mr. Bean at the start of his prawn season that I wanted to head out on the water with him one day. I want to see the area I have called home for the last fifteen years one more time from the water. When I spoke with him last night about the shopping cart, he mentioned the season may be ending much sooner than expected, so I think I will drive up to Pender Harbour tomorrow and head out with him and his crew on Tuesday.
I thought I would share this picture with you that Mr. Bean took when I went out on the boat one day six years ago. Wow, time flies. He had pulled a trap and found this not so friendly fellow in it (octopus love spot prawns, too!). That is one very, very angry octopus; but, I guess you would be to if someone was grabbing you by the blow hole...LOL. Needless to say, when Mr. Bean tossed it back into the chuck, it released a big cloud of ink as a final protest and dove as fast as it could. Also, I know that if I lend a hand Mr. Bean will give me a pound or two of those delicious spot prawns!

While I love seeing this photo of you, my heart hurts thinking you are of the mindset this may be your last time to go out on the water with your DH in the PNW. I do hope you'll have many more opportunities and more time to enjoy the beauties of the PNW. But where ever life takes you I'm sure the two of you will be happy.

Thank you, SewCalGal, for all your best wishes. Yes, I have definitely come to love the west coast and consider myself fortunate to have experienced a life here in a small coastal village. It really has been the first place I ever truly felt was home. I do hope I will be in a position to return and visit the friends I have made here.
Now,as for Mr. Bean. He gets left behind...LOL. He is actually someone else's DH; although the "discussions" we have had over websites would make you think we were married...LOL. No, Ricco, his wife Roxie and I all lived in Egmont at one time and Ricco and I have collaborated on a few internet projects like my Three Ducks website. We're good pals. I will miss them both very much. I guess I am just going to have to learn how to use Skype and keep in touch with everyone.
