Inkjet Fabric Sheets - Two Great Choices

Three Ducks has just received a new shipment of Jacquard Inkjet Fabric Sheets. I now have both the 10 pack Cotton and 10 pack Silk injet fabric sheets in stock.  As well, there are two 30 pack Silk sheets available for purchase.

The Jacquard ExtravOrganza 5 sheet pack has been restocked, too. This is a great product for art quilt projects where you want to create layers of images or printed texts. Not only can you use your inkjet printer, but you can also stamp or paint onto these sheer organza sheets.

With this new shipment, once again, you have a choice of two great products for your inkjet printing: EQ Printables & Jacquard. (Click 'Read more', for more information about these great products).

About three years ago, Quilters Newsletter Magazine did a comparison of the popular inkjet fabrics then on the market. EQ Printables led the pack in most categories; however, Jacquard was a close second. That Jacquard scored high isn't a surprise since they are also known for producing excellent fabric paints and dyes. I have scanned both the EQ Cotton Lawn & Cotton Satin and Jacquard's Cotton & Silk inkjet fabrics and placed them beside each other in the image below.

All the samples still have their paper backings and I had to place a piece of black fabric behind them in the scanner so that they would scan properly. The EQ Cotton Lawn is 100% combed cotton and has a 240 thread count and is recommended as "Quilt-Weight" fabric; whereas, the EQ Cotton Satin with its 283 thread and satin weave is recommended as craft or "Wearable-Weight."

The Jacquard Cotton is 100% cotton percale and can be used for quilting projects, wearable projects or crafts (no thread count available but in appearance and touch it is between EQ Cotton Lawn and Cotton Satin). The Jacqurd Silk is 10mm, 100% silk habotai and is suitable for quilting, craft and wearable projects. The Jacquard ExtravOrganza is a semi-transparent, 100% silk organza (too sheer to scan).
